.Out-of-box test method (use digital power to do input source test)



Step 1.


1.1 Connect the input power supply (5~28V) : If it is a digital power supply, you can first set the output to the MPPT voltage value of the photovoltaic panel; At the same time, ensure that the input power supply is higher than the battery voltage to be charged.


1.2 About MPPT Potentiometer,


a) To enable MPPt, make the test point voltage of the MPPTSET point of the chip higher than 1.2V; (TI's bq24650 chip also uses this value as the enable pin of the chip, that is, when it is lower than 1.2V, the chip will not output);


b) To turn off MPPT, make the voltage of the MPPTSET point of the chip lower than 75mV;


If this step is not met, the output voltage is abnormal. If it is a photovoltaic panel, the MPPT point of this step as long as it is above 1.2V, after connecting the output battery, re-adjust the voltage value of MPPT accurately.


Step 2. Adjust the output Vout potentiometer without load to lower it than the input voltage;


If it is the battery voltage specified at the time of shipment, the output will be the voltage corresponding to the charging curve;


Step 3. Connect the load, connect the photovoltaic panel, and do a charging test


a) If you need to observe the charging current, please observe in the current stop of the output terminal series multimeter;


b) If the charging voltage is observed, observe it in the voltage file of the parallel multimeter at the output end; Note: For adjusting the MPPT potentiometer,


Observe the current value of the current stop of the multimeter and take its stable power value. The phenomenon of the charging lamp is the maximum current value (stable charging state) that is steady on, (the input power will flash when it is not enough, off means that it is not charged, that is, the charging stops with flashing).


To enable the current photovoltaic panel MPPt, the voltage of the MPPTSET point of the chip is 1.2V, the preceding problem is that the output power is larger than the current photovoltaic panel, otherwise the photovoltaic panel can not reach the maximum power state;
