1、Bing length 20MM
2、Working voltage: 5V
3、The number of pulses in one turn: 20
4、The rotary encoder can count the number of output pulses during the rotation in the positive and negative directions by rotation, unlike the potentiometer, there is no limit to this rotation counting. With the key on the rotary encoder, it can be reset to the initial state, i.e. counting from 0.

Principle of operation:

The incremental encoder is a rotary sensor that converts the rotary displacement into a series of digital pulse signals. These pulses are used to control the angular displacement. In the Eltra encoder the conversion of the angular displacement is based on the photoelectric scanning principle. The reading system is based on the rotation of a radial indexing disc (code disc) consisting of alternating transmissive and non-transmissive windows, while being vertically illuminated by an infrared light source, which projects an image of the disc onto the surface of the receiver. The receiver is covered with a diffraction grating, which has the same window width as the code disc. The receiver's job is to sense the changes generated by the rotation of the disc and then convert the light changes into corresponding electrical changes. Then the low-level signal is made to rise to a higher level and produce a square pulse without any interference, which must be processed with electronic circuits. The reading system usually uses the differential method, that is, the two waveforms are the same but the phase difference of 180 ° of the different signals for comparison, in order to improve the quality and stability of the output signal. The reading is then formed on the basis of the difference between the two signals, thus eliminating interference.

Note:

The new version of the KY-040 non-threaded model is identical to the old version except for the handle color, which does not affect usage. For shipping, the warehouse will send whichever version is available. Handles with threads are all silver, as shown in the main image.
